She enrolled on the Retailing in the BOP programme, and completed her training with The Warehouse Whakatane.  This gave Leslie the chance to develop the practical abilities that she needed while she looked for a job within the food industry.

Working at KFC over the Christmas holidays reinforced the fact that her ideal job involved both food handling and customer contact, so Leslie and Trudi, her tutor, put their heads together and started the job search.

Now employed at the Whakatane Hospital, Leslie is working with a great team preparing and serving meals for the medical teams, patients and visitors.
