Try our "Knife Handling Skills" programme.

This is a ten-week programme held at our Te Puke site, with on-site work experience at Affco Rangiuru and at Sanford Ltd, Tauranga.

Practical training is done on-site at Affco Rangiuru, allowing you to combine theory with practical work placements giving you real skills, experiences, qualifications and employment opportunities.

Learn how:

  • to identify bobby calf, beef and lamb cuts,

  • pack meat for export

  • maintain workplace hygiene and food safety standards

  • administer workplace first aid

  • handle and maintain knives.

This course is suitable for people who are:

  • Able to work industry hours, including early mornings, shift work and overtime in the busy season?

  • Able to work hard?

  • Are you free from injury or back problems?

  • Prepared to undergo a medical examination and drug test?

  • Mature thinking with proven work ethics?

You must have reliable transport and be able to get and from work for rostered shift hours, a land or mobile number where we can contact you and be able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug test.
